Taraz is a fitness studio operated by Caranguejos Atléticos Unip LDA (NIPC 518974120), from Av. 24 de Julho 114 A/B, Santos, Lisboa, 1200-870, Portugal. By purchasing a membership, booking a class, or using this website, you agree to these terms.
All class bookings, membership sign-ups, and payments are processed directly through Momence (momence.com), our third-party booking and payment platform. Caranguejos Atléticos Unip LDA does not itself collect, store, or process your payment details. Card information, billing, and transaction data are handled entirely by Momence on our behalf. By booking a class or purchasing a membership, you are also agreeing to Momence's own Terms of Service. Memberships are billed monthly and renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle. Classes must be cancelled at least 4 hours in advance to avoid being counted as attended. Cancelling within 4 hours of the class start time, or not showing up, results in an automatic €5 fee. Taraz is a small, semi-private studio: classes are taught live by an instructor with around 10–12 people per session, so a late cancellation or no-show leaves a spot that someone else could have taken and affects how instructors plan the class; this fee is there to keep that fair for everyone, not to generate revenue. Repeated no-shows may result in a booking restriction. Sunday Exchange hosting requests may be cancelled up to 7 days before the scheduled date.
Participation in physical exercise carries inherent risk. You confirm that you are in adequate health to participate and take responsibility for your own wellbeing during sessions. Taraz is not liable for injuries resulting from pre-existing conditions or failure to follow instructor guidance. If you have any health concerns, consult a medical professional before attending.
Members and visitors are expected to respect the space, equipment, and other members at all times. Taraz reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for conduct that is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful.
All content on this website, including text, images, and design, belongs to Taraz. Nothing may be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon. Under Portuguese consumer law (Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014), you have the right to withdraw from online purchases within 14 days of purchase for digital services not yet delivered.

Please note: all class bookings, membership management, and payment processing on this website are handled by our third-party provider, Momence (momence.com), not by Taraz directly. Any personal or payment data you submit when booking a class, joining a membership, or making a payment, including your name, contact details, and card information, is collected and processed by Momence under its own privacy practices. We do not have access to or store your payment card details at any point. For information on how that data is collected, used, and protected, please refer to Momence's Privacy Policy and Momence's Terms of Service.
We directly collect information you provide when contacting us or submitting a Sunday Exchange proposal: name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message. We also collect aggregated website analytics (which pages are visited, approximate location, and device type) through Google Analytics, configured so that it does not store cookies on your device or identify you individually; see Section 6. Information provided when booking a class, joining a membership, or making a payment (including any health information relevant to your participation) is collected directly by Momence, not by us; see Section 1 above.
Information you provide directly to us (for example, through the Sunday Exchange form or by email) is used to respond to your enquiries and manage your involvement with Taraz. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties except where required by law. Separately, any information you provide when booking a class, joining a membership, or making a payment is submitted directly to and managed by Momence (momence.com), our booking and payment platform; see Section 1 above for details.
We retain enquiry and Sunday Exchange data for as long as needed to respond to you, and for up to 3 years thereafter as required by Portuguese accounting law (Código Comercial). Membership, booking, health-related, and payment data is retained by Momence in accordance with their own retention practices; see their Privacy Policy for details.
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may also request data portability or object to processing. For data we hold directly (enquiries, Sunday Exchange submissions), contact us at info@taraz-studio.com. For data related to your bookings, membership, or payments, this is held by Momence and requests should be directed to them; see their Privacy Policy for how to exercise your rights with them. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt.
This website sets no cookies of its own and carries no advertising pixels. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited, but it runs in a cookieless configuration: it is loaded through Google Consent Mode with analytics and advertising storage denied by default, so it does not write cookies to your device and does not identify you individually; it reports aggregated figures only. Typography is served from our own servers: the fonts are downloaded when the site is built and bundled with it, so viewing a page sends no request to Google Fonts. Two embedded features do load from third parties and may set their own cookies when you visit those pages: the map on our Contact page (Google Maps) and the booking calendars on our Schedule page (Momence). Those are governed by Google's and Momence's own privacy policies rather than ours.
